How can I manually set up the Windows operating system firewall?
Open program:
- Click "Start" > "Run" and enter firewall.cpl to open "Windows Firewall Control Panel".
Note: you must have the permissions to change the firewall settings to set up the firewall. If firewall settings are not available and your computer is connected to a domain, your system administrator can control these settings through group policies.
- Follow any of the following steps to allow the program to pass through the firewall:
- On Windows 7/Windows Server 2008 R2/Windows Server 2012 R2, click "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall ";
On Windows Vista/Windows Server 2008, click "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall";.
- In "Exception" tab, click Check all programs related to Teampel ;
- Click "OK" to close Windows Firewall applet.
Open specific ports:
- Click "Start" > "Run" and enter firewall.cpl to open "Windows Firewall Control Panel".
- On Windows 7/Windows Server 2008 R2 / Windows Server 2012 R2, follow these steps:
- Click "Advanced settings" on the left side of the Windows Firewall window;
- Click "Inbound Rules" in the left column;
- Click "Add Rules" in the left column;
- Select "Port" and click "Next";
- Select "TCP" & "UDP" and enter "35000-35004 (UDP 35100-40000)" in "Specific local ports" field;

- Click "Next";
- Select "Allow the connection" and click "Next";
- Select "Domain", "Private" and "Public" and click "Next";
- Name this rule "TeampelPortRule" and click "Finish";
Note: this rule name can be customized.
- On Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, follow these steps:
- Click "Allow a program through Windows Firewall";
- In "Exception" page, click "Add port";
- Enter the name, enter "35000" as the port number, and select "TCP" option;
- Click "OK";
- To open port 35001~35004, UDP 35100-40000, repeat steps 2 through 4.
